Administrative Business: Minutes of the December 17, 2004 meeting were read and approved. Former Councilman and TPA President Jack Wichterman - Synopsis of the Budget Meeting with Council. February 15 Public Hearing on budget scheduled. Rich Juliano recommends everyone look at the budget. Committee Reports: COTTAGE GREEN/VILLAGE GREEN (Bay Water Alliance), Mike Shouvlin - C.O.C.A. group interested in cleaning out bays, etc. Mike asking Taxpayers Association to send a letter for moral support. LCMR COMMITTEE, Tony Williams - Rich Townsend is offering great help for the February 10th meeting with Attorney Gigliardi. Publicity is going out and there will be an advertising campaign i.e.. value of our town has gone up appreciably will affect us drastically. A motion was made to approve postcard and ad in the Star and Wave. There will be a meeting with Bob Jackson on January 27th. Tony suggested that if we have any questions we want answered, to please email them to him. MEMBERSHIP, Bill Smigo - 2500 membership letters have been mailed about 282 have been returned to date. 2% TAX DISTRIBUTION, Bill Smigo - Nothing to report. EAST CAPE MAY DEVELOPMENT, Dagmar Chew - Nothing to report. TECHNOLOGY/COMMUNICATIONS, Rich Reinhart - Is preparing and sending a large ad to the Star and Wave for two weeks' insertion regarding the meeting with Attorney Gagliardi. It was approved by the Board. CMES, Pete Iurato - Nothing to report. BEACH REPLENISHMENT, Will Kahane - Is 95% completed. Maybe explore parallel jetties instead of perpendicular. Cape May City Tourism Advisory Board has not yet been selected, resumes are solicited. There is a proposal to install electricity generating windmills off the coast of Cape May County. More details to follow. CONVENTION HALL, Rich Juliano - Read a letter drafted in support of an application to the CRDA for funding. Subject to detailed information and impact on taxpayers of Cape May. Motion was made by Tony Williams and Will Kahane seconded to send. Study would be funded by a grant. OLD BUSINESS - Nothing. NEW BUSINESS, Rich Juliano - Ray Maher suggests that we send a donation for the girl that was lost in the mud slide in California. Her parents live in Cape May county.
