President's Remarks:
Kate did not attend October meeting.
The City Manager - Lou Corea
- City awarded bid of $2,845,000 for Mall water/sewer
infrastructure Oct.27th.
- Presentation meeting of conceptual design to Council on Nov. 7,
2007.
- Canceling advances for engineer and architect.
- Bonding for building itself to be in next year’s budget.
- Harbor view Park - Parks Commission and engineers will use same
type of trees - view will not be blocked.
- Dog Park is in the works.
- For every $225,000 assessment in the “C1” Area one cent on the
tax rate will generate approximately $ 50,000 for BID.
Public Session
- Beverly Rauch thought that golf carts are a good idea. Stated
that Florida has dog parks and we should have them here. It would be
good PR for the city.

- Energy Commission - Golf cart survey

Technology/Web Site:
K. Wyatt - no report
Budget Committee:
City can spend above the budget via referendum.
Old Business:
- P. Iurato reminded Board members it is their responsibility to
submit letters for the Newsletter via Email to Kate.
- D. Crowley will contact Kate to see if she wants to include
survey. On the Beach Theater matter, D. Crowley stated the TPA made
correct decision. TPA should remind public what we have done and the
affect on Cape May over last 2 months. He is drafting a report on
tax-exempt properties and fees structure.
New Business:
- K. Maloney reported that in the matter of transferring
Convention Hall to Beach Utility, the Judge has said beach surplus
cannot be used for general funds.
