March 17, 2006: Call to Order by Rich Reinhart; Pledge of Allegiance.  The minutes were read and approved.

Treasurer's Report - Not available. The Board is seeking an applicant for the Treasurer's position.

Cape May City 2006 Budget - Jack Wichterman reported on the proposed Cape May City 2006 budget. His suggestions for improvement were:

1) Decrease the amount of seed money for the Mall &Convention Hall;
2) Questionable need for an additional police car;
3) The proposal to buy out of the Nextel contract should be rejected.

A discussion followed: A motion by Tony Williams was seconded by Bob Steenrod for a letter to be sent to Council by Rich Reinhart forwarding Jack's report as suggestion.

Joe Steady's resignation was received and Jack Wichterman was admitted to the Board on a unanimous vote.

Committee Reports:

Cottage/VillageGreen - no report.

LMCR - this issue has been tabled at this time.

Membership - Pete Iurato reports that the total number of households are at 671 or about 1100 members. A second membership solicitation will be sent. 217 survey results were returned with school tax, parking &Convention Hall getting the most votes for taxpayer's concerns.

2% Tax - Bill Smigo reported that tax revenues totaling $971,092 were collected last year.

East Cape May Development - Dagmer Chew submitted that there is nothing new to report.

Technology - There were 230 hits on the TPA website. An email data base is being developed.

Cape May Elementary School - Pete Iurato reported that the proposed School Budget is $3,122,063, down 10.7%. the State aid figures have not been reported. A motion was passed to support this budget.

Revitalization Committee - Rich Juliano stated that there was no additional information since City Manager Corea's last report to City Council. Tony Williams expressed a desire for more information from this committee.

Miscellaneous Business - The upcoming Candidate's Night format was discussed by Tony Williams. It was agreed that the major questions of taxpayer concern would be given to the candidates beforehand and a written reply be requested. A newspaper ad will be placed to solicit questions from the community. The date is April 27th at 7 PM at CMES

Meeting was adjourned at 6 PM.
