2005: Call to Order by Rich Juliano at Cape May City Hall; Pledge of
Allegiance.

COTTAGE GREEN/VILLAGE GREEN - no report
LCMR COMMITTEE, Tony Williams - A motion was made to
Cape May City Council to approach the new West Cape May commissioners on
this subject (LCMR)
MEMBERSHIP, Bill Smigo -Over 1100 members & counting at this
time
2% TAX DISTRIBUTION, Bill Smigo - Our mini Survey results are
:
Tax relief 39.6%
Tourism 18.8%
Infrastructure 38.7%
Other 2.9%
Monies collected in February was $17,685.00.
EAST CAPE MAY DEVELOPMENT, Dagmer Chew - At a stand still.
Hope for a settlement before end of summer
TECHOLOGY/COMMUNICATIONS - no report
COCA, Bill Smigo - Nothing new to report.
CMES, Pete Iurato - No quorum for a meeting regularly
scheduled. Special meeting Tuesday May 24th. Several teachers have
retired.
CONVENTION HALL, Rich Juliano - Report - the new facility
should not compete with larger convention centers. The City Manager will
inform City Council as to what the consultant has to report.
OLD BUSINESS, Rich Juliano:
Joe Steady - new board member concerned that not everyone on
council knows what is going on between taxpayers and town
situations. Applications on website for grants. Authorize Joe to
send a letter to council on this matter.
Paul Johnson - committee to work on situation down at the beach -
possibly of meeting June 1st.
NEW BUSINESS:
Bob Fite heading up nominating committee. Up for re-election,
Audrey Conant - appointed positions up for election - Ed Hutchinson,
Kate Wyatt and Joe Steady.
Authorization for Insurance - Tony Williams & Dagmer Chew
OTHER:

| Board approved we go ahead by notifying members thru our
June news letter. |
| Council is supporting Tourism Commission - David Craig:
Tourism Commission report read. Funds will be used for
marketing campaign. |
| Commission has the ability to raise funds. June 13 is a
fundraiser - Montreal Inn for Christmas lights for the city.
N. J monthly shore edition - placing a full page ad. |
