Annual Meeting Minutes August
19, 2005: Call to Order by Rich Juliano at 7:00 PM in the City
Hall Auditorium; Pledge of Allegiance was
recited.

Will Kahane introduced Curtis Bashaw who made an hour
presentation, (as he gave to Council), on “Vision for Cape May’s future”
– keeping Cape May a nice place to live as well as to visit. The
commission has a vision on the Mall, Promenade, Parks and Public
Amenities
Strategic planning is crucial to any town and the quality of life is
important. Why plan? Because it’s good economic sense. The city should
hire a good planner so we have a legacy for the next generation.
Mr. Bashaw answered questions from the floor following his
presentation.
Awards were presented to:
Margaret Burns for her service to the TPA after resigning because
of health issues by Audrey Conant.
Ralph Genovese for his heroic efforts in saving the young boy
scout in the boating accident by Rich Reinhart.
Jack & Judy Lord – Public spirit award for their contributions to
various civic organizations by Rich Juliano.

The Minutes were approved – and all were in favor;
Treasurer’s report by Pete Iurato was approved – and all were in
favor;
Presently there is $2955.55 in the checking account. Total assets
- $18980.70;
Nominating Committee – 172 ballots, Audrey Conant, Hugh McCauley,
Joe Steady, and Kate Wyatt were uncontested in their election for a
term of 3 years.
