August 18, 2006: Call to Order; Pledge of Allegiance; President's Remarks.  No minutes to approve.

Citizen of the Year Award: Jerry Gaffney presented by Jack Wichterman; Natalie Carsanico (heroine) presented by Kate Wyatt.

Mayor Jerry Inderwies: Congratulated Jerry and Natalie; Disappointed with attitudes over Mall; Optimistic Dewell's Point will be resolved by end of year; Council has done a good job of managing the City.

Deputy Mayor Niels Favre: Council Waited too long before presenting plans to the public; Parking suggested for Jackson St. for short term parking / possibly Bank St. for long term & business people.

Dagmar Chew: Commended Council - town should be behind them.

Tony Williams: Physically a sound town.

Public Comments: Jim Wyatt and Ginny Nesel

Kate Wyatt: Thanked all the speakers.

Committee Reports:

East Cape May Email Database, Dagmer Chew: Database looking good.

Cape May Elementary School, Pete Iurato: Things slow at CMES.

Revitalization Committee, Hugh McCauley: Reported on Revitalization Meeting; New members are John McIntyre, Jessie Weeks and Jim Wyatt.

Membership, COCA, 2%, Bill Smigo: 845 TPA members to date.

City Council, Jack Wichterman: City Council Openness premise is good - should get money for Engineering first - bond issue and then go out for bids.

Convention Hall, Bob Steenrod: Convention Hall TPA will be very much involved when Convention Hall issue comes forth.  Thanked the public for coming tonight.

Lower Cape May Regional, Tony Williams: City Council & Cape May School Board are in favor of pursuing - WCM not joining.

Member Communications, Kate Wyatt: Newsletter mailed; Two new members interested in going on the TPA Board; Public speakers on the Referendum: Christine Miller, Jean Powilk, Judy Lord, Ginny Nesel, Barney Dougherty and Fred Berardinis.
